A Personalised Service

Here at White Rose Funeral Services, we offer a range of services which make a funeral more personalised to the person who has passed away. Although many people opt for a traditional service which includes a hearse, limousine and veneered oak coffin; trends are showing that there is a slight shift towards different methods of transport for that final farewell. A large proportion of people are now selecting wicker coffins or coffins which have photographic images of the things their loved one enjoyed the most. There is an increasing demand for woodland burials. You do not have to make big changes to make the ceremony more personalised. Below are a few simple ideas which you may wish to explore when planning a funeral service.
Transport
Horse and Carriage
Pink Hearse
VW Campervan hearse
Motorbike hearse
Only Fools and Horses hearse
Lorry Hearse
Music
Music forms a large part of a funeral service. Traditionally, in none religious funeral services, music is reflective to the person who has passed away. Depending on religion, between 1 and 2 hymns are chosen. It is totally up to you what music you decide to have. I would strongly recommend that music is discussed with close relatives of the person who has passed away to ensure that the choice of music is fitting for that person.
Readings
I have had the privilege of listening to many speeches, poems, readings and eulogies to reflect upon the person who has died. Close family members, friends and ministers normally take a leading role in delivering these prominent, reflective pieces.
Photographs
Photographs of the person who has passed away can be projected on to screens at the crematorium chapel. These can be photographs showing key aspects of the life of the person who has died.
Orders of Service
These are booklets which normally show the order of the congregation and how it will proceed. Photographs can be placed within the order of service booklet. The lyrics of songs and hymns can also be featured. It is advisable that family members design and organise the order of service, but we are always here to give you advice if you stuck on what to include.
